
Monsters and boas and anoles, oh my! A wide variety of lizards, snakes, and turtles creep and crawl through exhibits at the Bronx, Central Park, Prospect Park and Queens Zoos.

The sifaka is one smooth mover. It uses its long, muscular limbs to leap vertically from tree to tree. A membrane on the inside of its arms helps it glide through the air like a dancer.

We think you'll agree that these little stinkers, spotted skunks on view at the Mouse House, are pretty cute. (And don’t worry—their “aroma” is undetectable through the exhibit’s glass!)

Watch the rock hyrax pups cuddle up with (and on top of) mom and dad, meet their baboon and ibex neighbors, and scurry around their rocky home in Baboon Reserve.

Madagascar’s fearsome fossa is only about a foot tall and 20 pounds. But don’t be deceived. This agile hunter uses its great strength, big claws, and sharp teeth to bring down lemurs from the canopy!
